In the last two years, various refurbishments and upgrades have taken place, the major one being from April to July 2008 when the Resort was closed for a tasteful face-lift of all rooms and brand new makuti roofs as well as servicing/replacement of all electrical equipments and appliances. A complete renewal and redesign of all soft furnishings (all curtains, cushions and bedspreads) and a new concept for all the Restaurants was also implemented.

The Rooms Each Room & Suite (in all the room categories) bears the hallmarks of a spacious bedroom, separate dressing room, en suite bathroom and a verandah or balcony. All the rooms are tastefully decorated using traditional Zanzibar furniture which include large four poster beds with mosquito nets, a writing bureau, coffee table and easy chairs. Tanzania’s northern circuit alone easily attracts the majority of tourists.
