Trou
aux Biches *****
Superior When Trou aux Biches re-opens in November 2010
after a complete rebuild, it will reveal a modern hotel with facilities unmatched
anywhere in Mauritius.
Located on one of the finest resort sites in Mauritius
the hotel stretches along two kilometres of beach and reaches back for another
300 metres of lush tropical gardens where most of the age old trees have been
preserved. The new hotel represents an investment of R1-billion. It is an ambitious
project undertaken by the architects and designers at Beachcomber Hotels to capitalise
on its location on the northwest coast, close to Grand Bay.
This area is
well-known for good weather year round and its proximity to the tourist hub of
Mauritius is an attraction. Accommodation is in 333 suites and villas, making
it the largest hotel on the island. Close attention has been paid to the interior
design of the suites and villas with natural colours and fabrics reserving the
island style which is a trademark of this hotel.
Six restaurants serving
various food styles will vary the dining experience for guests. More than 100
swimming pools, some of them private, will entice guests to relax in quiet surroundings.
